FAQs about DR. ALTHEA Pure Grinding Cleansing Balm (50ml)
Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin?
Yes. It’s formulated to be gentle and contains Centella Asiatica, a plant extract well known for calming redness and irritation. feedback also backs this up, with sensitive and acne-prone skin types reporting good results.
What are the main ingredients and what do they do?
The balm combines a few skin-friendly actives with an emollient base designed to melt away makeup and sunscreen:
Centella Asiatica Extract: hydrates, soothes redness and irritation, and supports the skin’s moisture barrier
Grape Seed Oil: rich in Vitamin E and antioxidants; helps soften and brighten while soothing inflammation
Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Seed Oil: antioxidant that helps protect against everyday environmental damage
Emollient base (Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride): the cleansing backbone that dissolves oil-based impurities without stripping moisture
How do I use it in my routine?
Use it as your first cleanse in the evening:
Apply to dry skin, massage in, then rinse with lukewarm water.
Follow with a water-based cleanser (this two-step method, known as double-cleansing, ensures makeup, SPF, and excess oil are fully removed).
Continue with your toner, treatments, and moisturiser as usual.
In the morning, it’s optional. Only reach for it if you wore heavy SPF the night before or your skin feels particularly oily.
